정의

전 세계 15~64세 인구 가운데 지난 12개월 동안 마약류(술·담배 제외)를 한 번 이상 사용한 사람 수의 UNODC 추정치(백만 명).

이 지표 읽는 법

UNODC 「World Drug Report」 연간판. 각국 조사·간접 추정을 모은 모형 추정 — 판마다 새 자료(예: WDR 2019 의 인도·나이지리아 조사)로 수준이 바뀐다. UNODC: 「any comparison of estimates over time should be undertaken with caution, given the wide uncertainty intervals」(WDR 2019 Booklet 2). 기간 = 기준 연도(발간은 2년 뒤 6월).
